Many families cringe at the thought of having family and child photos taken in their Seattle home, but it’s actually the best place for it! Â (You can read here why I think so.)Â This in-home session reinforced my thoughts and passion for this type of photography. Â This is where your family story begins. Â This is where you and your kids are comfortable and most relaxed. Â Your kids (and hubby) don’t feel like they have to put on a show for me here, and it shows in the resulting photographs.
We took photos in almost every room in this house, even the messy ones (and read here about why I don’t care about messes). Â I had to shoot all over because I find so many interesting little vignettes that have their own personality and tell their own little story in a home. Â Give me all the nooks and crannies! Â I guarantee there are some awesome ones that you haven’t even thought about. Â Mom and Dad had just finished remodeling their beautiful kitchen, plus kitchens are such a main component of where family and friends hang out, I love to shoot there in some way. Â Mom has a killer taste for finding used furniture and other vintage goodies, so I loved walking through their home and photographing them with some of these interiors in the background.
Oh, and last but not least. Â We had a blast. Â Enjoy!
(Photographers, this entire session was photographed using supplemental artificial light! Â Read up on my #lightingforlifestyle posts here!)
I can’t decide what I love more- those sweet faces, or that gorgeous home! The photo in the kitchen with kids on the counter and one over dad’s shoulders is my FAVE! LOL
Thanks so much, Christine! xx I loved that one, too. I had too many favorites!
