Spring Family Photos in the Lupine Fields
This was a new location for me in the Seattle area and I was nervous. I was nervous the flowers wouldn’t be in bloom. But when we showed up, was I surprised! I was surprised with the gorgeous color, but also with the size of this open sea of purple. So today I wanted to share these spring family photos in the lupine fields because I haven’t shared a session in a while!
Spring Family Photos
I feel like Spring photos get a bad rap and I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s the unpredictability of the weather. Maybe it’s that people are just starting to get out of the winter funk. Or maybe they are thinking more about escaping to warm climates for Spring Break!
But if getting family photos is on your list every year and you don’t want to deal with how hectic it is to get fall family photos, think about a Spring session! Hopefully these photos will convince you too, especially if you have a lupine field near you.
Yearly Photos with the Whole Family
This family was super fun, sweet, and easygoing. They just wanted some photos of them enjoying their time together at the age their kids were. Mama loves to get photos done every year. She sees the importance of also being in the photos, so we were a perfect match.
Dad didn’t really want to be there and that’s okay. No matter what photographers may tell you, getting photos IS a stressful experience. This is especially true if you’ve worked with a photographer who isn’t the best at taking charge and directing. But this papa here had a good time and I was happy about that.
Time Frame for Spring Photos with Lupines
We can do spring family photos in the lupine fields typically from mid-April to mid-June depending on your location. If you know of a lupine field near you, make note of when you see them in bloom. Then we can start planning around that.
