Child Photographer Seattle : Lavin

I’ve been photographing this little one since she was a year old, and here we are two years later!  Mom and Dad mostly wanted to capture some child photos with some family photos thrown in there, so we took advantage of the occasion by shooting in her beautiful pinkalicious room (and I also couldn’t resist the bathroom).  Weird, maybe, but scroll down to see the vintage tub and beautiful light in that small space!

And as an aside, can I tell you again why it’s so much better taking your child and family photos at home?  Miss Pinkalicious here is so much more at ease in her own house.  Her domain.  Her safe place with her family.  And it shows in the photos.  She’s relaxed.  She’s comfortable.  She’s being herself.  She was excited to show me around.  To show me where her books and clothes and favorite pictures were.  Kids just don’t feel like they have to perform in front of the camera when they’re at home.  And you don’t want a performance.  You want your kids and your family captured naturally.  In your element.  At home.
