Hey there! Are you ready for another dose of light therapy? I swear this time of year I need to take 1200mg of Vitamin D per day. That’s seriously what my doctor recommends for Seattle peeps during the winter months. No Joke. I’ve put together another One Light Many Looks post for you highlighting one of my all-time-favorite sessions from last fall. Doesn’t it look bright and airy? Well, it’s because of artificial light. Namely flash, baby. I am so smitten with this little flash unit I could talk about it all day.
My ambient meter read 1/15 @2.8 for 400 speed film rated at 400. Almost enough, but not quite.
These images are front-lit, side-lit, and back-lit with bounced flash and I was moving all over the place.
Check out more examples of how I use artificial light in lifestyle photography (#lightingforlifestyle) for more ideas and if you’d like to learn, I offer one-on-one mentoring about lighting, film, and more. Let me know if you have any questions!
