Finding fun, family friendly winter activities in Coeur d’Alene, ID is not a challenge. The challenge is deciding which activities to do during the season! You haven’t seen a true winter wonderland until you’ve experienced it in the Pacific Northwest. As we close in on Thanksgiving and the true holiday season begins, I wanted to roundup a shortlist of some of the best things to do with your family in Coeur d’Alene.
Journey to The North Pole
Starting on November 28th and running through January 1st, a boat ride to the North Pole would be an unforgettable family experience. They have four cruise times running throughout the day, if you want to keep the weather in mind. The ride takes you and your littles across the beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene and includes little elves and Mr. and Mrs. Claus! A part that your kiddos will always remember? Having Santa read out their names from the nice list!
Lighting Ceremony Parade
In downtown Coeur d’Alene on November 29th, bring your loved ones to the 33rd annual lighting ceremony! Watch in awe as a parade rolls through downtown CDA and lights up the night with holiday cheer and spirit. There’s a marching band, parade floats, music, and of course, dancing! To finish the parade, a beautiful display of fireworks follow. Bundle up, bring your loved ones, and enjoy the show!
S’mores By The Shores
Running now through Christmas, S’mores By The Shores is the perfect family night. Bring your kiddos to gather ‘round a beautiful firepit and have a cozy winter night under our gorgeous Coeur d’Alene sky. Roast toasty marshmallows, enjoy an ooey gooey treat, and make some irreplaceable family memories (and maybe even a new tradition)! There’s also a fabulous light show to enjoy while indulging in your tasty treats.
