Things To Do in CDA on Summer Vacation

Summertime in the Pacific Northwest is a magical time of the year. Living in Coeur d’Alene, we are surrounded by gorgeous sights, natural beauty, and things to explore! There are so many incredible things to do in CDA on Summer Vacation. I thought I’d round up a little list of some great activities to do as a family on your summer vacation!

Centennial Trail

The Centennial Trail is a beautiful, 23-mile paved trail that goes into both Idaho and Washington. You could make a day trip out of it and do the whole thing, or just do part of it– whichever you’d prefer! Any time spent on the trail would be accompanied by scenic views and stunning natural life.

Coeur d’Alene City Park and Beach

Visiting the city park and beach could definitely be an incredible way to spend the day! There’s the beach (of course), basketball courts, picnic areas, and grills. Not to mention, there’s a wonderful playground for littles to run wild on while you get to relax and enjoy. A full day of family fun, anyone?

Timberline Adventures

Rated the #1 outdoor activity in Coeur d’Alene, Timberline Adventures has four different zipline tours to choose from. They also have beautiful cabin rentals if you’re looking for a weekend in the woods, and incredible nature walks. You can either zip through the trees or around the lake, get cozy in a cabin, or just bask in the beauty of nature.

Coeur d’Alene Boutiques

Downtown Coeur d’Alene is so cute, and full of quaint boutiques with everything from jewelry and clothing to handmade, artisanal soaps. Walking through downtown is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, getting some pieces to remember your time by. Plus, who doesn’t love to support local businesses?

Events at McEuen Park

McEuen Park is a hub for events and outdoor concerts for the whole family. In the past, the park has hosted family friendly summer concert series on Wednesdays. It’s a great way to spend an evening with your loved ones and enjoy the local community!
