This is our second year spending spring break on Lopez Island, WA. If you’re not familiar with Lopez, it is the third largest island in the San Juan Island chain off the coast of Washington state, and crazy enough, to the northeast of Vancouver Island, Canada. Lopez is a sleepy, rural island, filled with open fields and farms, and is a popular bicycle destination. Although Lopez is only an hour ferry ride from Anacortes, it feels hundreds of miles away from the mainland.
We spent the week exploring beaches, hiking, playing outside, bike riding, and eating, of course. Thanks to our good friends the Weber-Johnsons for inviting us along for the ride. Can’t wait to do it again!
For Filmies: Canon 1V, Pentax 645n + Tri-x, Fuji 400h, and a splash of Portra 800.
