In the winter we spend quite a bit of our time up at Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Sandpoint, Idaho. I grew up skiing here and feel a bit spoiled being able to ski here again with it’s vast acreage and small crowds. Even though Schweitzer has a sweet cool village it still has that small-town local vibe which I hope never goes away.
My son competes in their SARS Freeride program, and each year I donate a mini-session to their big SARS auction fundraiser. This year I got to work with this amazing family of five (well, six counting their fur-baby) so we decided to do their mini right up on the mountain, since Schweitzer is near-and-dear to them too and their kids compete as SARS downhill racers.
