The truth is…..my hatred for “I Need You Now” by Lady Antebellum knows no bounds. I think it’s so cheesy!! My body literally convulses when I hear that song. It was really popular a few years ago and I still just can not listen to one verse of that song. I can not stand cheesy love songs…..except the ones from the 80s that I grew up with that create a mixture of nostalgia and convulsive snorting laughter when I hear them.
Well I can’t do cheese in my newborn photography work either. I can’t stand it. If it’s not genuine and ‘them’ then it feels awkward and cheesy. These two were so awesome and amazing with their new baby girl. They were so content and fulfilled loving on her and each other; mom in her messy bun looking radiant, and dad with a casual air and very dry sense of humor about him. The turn-your-life-upside-down chaos a newborn can bring, with mixed emotions of love and fear, laughter and tears that I could not shake the first 6 weeks did not show its face in their session. I only saw contentment and love amidst laughter and smiles.
