Photographing a baby and family in a playroom with flash : One Light Many Looks (Part 11)

Photographing a baby and family in a playroom with flash isn’t as daunting as it sounds and is the key to creating consistency in your work through the winter months. This is whether you are shooting film or digital! A lot of photographers are worried that flash or artificial light will scare the baby or newborn, but in my 15+ years of experience using artifiical light, it’s just not the case. In my latest One Light Many Looks comparison below, I used one simple and inexpensive flash unit in the playroom and got this variety using my Contax 645 film camera.
