Coeur d’Alene will always hold a special place in my heart.  I have so many fond memories growing up in this amazing, little-known area of the United States.  I’m so thrilled we can share this place with our kids and make our own new memories.  We get to come here 2-3 times a year and it has become a tradition.  I think each year is getting more fun with them.  They are at the perfect age to spend many lazy summer days swimming, exploring, sleeping under the stars and soaking up any fun activity that summer brings.

I left the digital camera at home.  For the first time.  I was nervous but excited to continue my renewed friendship with finicky, lovely film.  I shot 10 rolls of 35mm and 120 using Kodak Gold 200, Ektar, Portra 160, Portra 400, Portra 800, and Fuji 400h.  Many shots were in mid-day full sun and film is such a rock star with that!  I also shot during a few sunsets and evenings, mornings, and during one epic storm.  I love how they turned out.  I still think Portra 400 is my favorite!
