We went to Lopez Island for the first time this year over Spring Break. It was beautiful! This rural island is situated in the San Juan Islands near both Orcas Island and San Juan Islands, about a 45 minute ferry ride from Anacortes, WA. I immediately felt the normal stress of day-to-day activities melt away as we drove one of two main roads that run the length of the island to our cabin. We were lucky enough to stay here with friends, who discovered the draw of this island years ago. They warned us we had no internet or cell phone access at the cabin, which alarmed us at first but realized we needed some time off the grid.
We explored just a few of the many beaches on the south end of the island, all which provide breathtaking views of the Olympic Mountains or Mt. Baker in the East.
I used a mixture of Ektar, Fuji 400h and Portra 800 120 film as well as expired HP5 and Portra 400 35mm film. Enjoy!
