Image Salon Podcast Interview : Slow Down, Shoot Film

I’m so excited to share with you my first podcast interview! Image Salon reached out to me during Click Away 2019 held in Atlanta, GA in early March, before photography came to a standstill due to the pandemic. It seems surreal to listen to it now with everything that has happened and how our lives have changed in 2020, but I still think what we discussed is relevant and important and a part of every photographers journey of self discovery.

We talked about my own journey, how I rediscovered film, how that has changed my photography business, community over competition, how playing the comparison game is never a good idea, taking chances, figuring out your niche and how having a specialty makes your business stronger, and much more.

If you know me at all you know I’m old school. I also talk about how shooting slowly and with a well thought out plan, whether inside or outside, saves you time and money and makes your work more consistent and yes – stronger.

I was nervous about the interview but it was actually super fun! Please give it a listen by clicking the link above or the play button below and I hope you enjoy it!
