Top Spring locations around the CDA, Idaho area, starting with Cherry Hill, WA!
1. Cherry Hill WA Orchard in Green Bluff
I mean, look at these photos, right? Those cherry blossoms are just so pretty as backdrops, and the staff at Cherry Hill are just so wonderful and accommodating. Nothing else sings spring like a bunch of gorgeous flowers in your photo backdrop! Cherry Hill is about a 1-hour drive from Coeur d’Alene. Be sure to check their website to see when the trees will be blooming, but they are usually mid-to-late April. Once you get there, there’s lots to see and do!

Now my other top choices near Coeur d’Alene are listed below so be sure to check them out. I’ll be highlighting each one in a separate blog post so be sure to watch for them!
2. MT. Spokane
Again, a little out of the way but well worth it! You can have your session here in the morning or at sunset and still have a gorgeous backdrop. Not only is it gorgeous in the spring, but you can use this location for amazing photos year-round! Mt. Spokane is easy to get to but will take you about 1.5 hours from CDA or 1/2 hour from Spokane.
3. Blue Creek Bay
Gorgeous fields? Check. Close by? Check. Secluded? Check. Gorgeous any time of year? Check. Blue Creek Bay has it all. Lots of little trails, tons of room, pretty open fields that descend towards the water, trees, and even a barn. This would be a great place for maternity, family, senior, or extended family photos! The only downside is make sure you use the maps to find it!
4. Farragut State Park Fields
I love the fields up at Farragut this time of year because they are a little green and don’t look dead! Plus NO ONE is up there and you can literally park in the middle of an old road and shoot if you want. Farragut is about a 20 -25 minute drive from Coeur d’Alene but well worth the drive!
If you have some amazing locations you’ve been to, please share! I always love exploring with my families!
