ACCEPTED: Your Personal College Admissions Planner for Families

What I want to share with you today is a Notion* template I created. It’s called ACCEPTED: Your Personal College Admissions Planner, and it’s near and dear to my heart. The past few years my daughter went through the college admissions process, and it’s insane (if you live in the US) and your teen wants to go apply to a lot of schools.

The college application & admissions process is insane

(If you’d rather listen to the story behind this and see how the planner works, skip down to the YouTube Video.)

But before we get to it, my name is Kim. I’m a mom, family photographer turned blogger turned educator. I love teaching about photography and helping other creative businesses create the systems they need to suit their lifestyle.

I’ve been in business 16+ years, and been a Mom for 19+ years, and I’ve learned a thing or two. Solving my own problems my own way to suit our needs have helped me grow exponentially in my business and my life.

What I discovered in going through the college application process with my daughter was that all the information we needed was all over the place.

We had Admissions Portals & logins for different schools stored in different areas. Common App links, FAFSA info, school timelines, deadlines, and other key pieces of info were all over the place. My daughter had some info. I had some info, and other key pieces were scribbled in random places.

So I vowed to come up with a system (because we have a Junior this year) that centralizes everything and saves us time. Because we will go through the process with him very soon ?.

I made the ACCEPTED college planner in Notion* & have been using the Notion platform since February of this year. I absolutely love it because it’s basically like a huge database of information that you can link together in ways that work for your business and life. I started using it for work for content scheduling and event planning. I use it for my daily, monthly, and yearly tasks & goals. It’s just like a big brain that I use to centralize everything that I’m doing for my business. I then started using it more for personal stuff, like keeping track of books I want to read, meal planning, and more. But then my a-ha moment was thinking,

Why can’t I create a Notion database for college planning?

So I DID.

I went through our college planning folder, notes, and calendars and centralized it all here in ACCEPTED! So what exactly is the ACCEPTED College Admissions Planner?

Check out my YouTube video for a behind-the-scenes look into how it works ?? (and you can also order it below!):

Cheaper than hiring a College Planner, & WAY better than “winging it” into your top school of choice.

Accepted: Your Personal College Admissions Planner has everything you need to get those “You’re Accepted” A’s. How? By helping you & your teen get and stay organized.  How?  By storing and accessing all your info in one place (and its mobile, too)!

It includes a customizable calendar, timeline, & AI tools. There is an Activities & Awards Hub to jot down all your teen’s impressive accomplishments, and much more!  Most importantly, ACCEPTED has automated databases for all stages of your college planning journey.

Your Personal College Admissions Planner also includes keyword, field & date searches, hyperlinks to important websites like FAFSA, 529 Plans, Common App, Google Drive, and more!  Last, it’s fully customizable. You can tailor it to you or your teens needs and interests and collaborate with real-time updates.
